1979 – THE ORIGIN

The origin of Bralo’s activities dates back to 1979. In a small workshop in Madrid, Basilio López began his industrial career selling rivets.

The response of the market was so good that soon after, they moved to Fuenlabrada where, with a staff of 20 employees, they began with the production of rivets and riveting tools.

1980 – THE INTERNATIONALIZATION

In the eighties, Bralo boosted its process of regional expansion. The most important movements are carried out at the national level, promoting expansion throughout the Spanish territory. The activity of the company is consolidated as a market leader.

In the mid-1980s, exports began to France, Portugal, Belgium, Sweden and Austria, starting a period of internationalization.

1990 – INTERNATIONAL MODERNIZATION AND CONSOLIDATION

On May 19th, 1995, the Group’s headquarters moved to the Madrid town of Pinto. A facility of 12,000 m² and a staff that has grown up to 90 employees, increase the productive capacity of Bralo to 2,700 million pieces per year.

At the end of the nineties, the foundations were laid for an adequate logistics system at the expected strong growth rate. The facilities in Madrid are expanded. The works involve renovating the original factory and the construction of a new warehouse in contiguous land.

In this decade the delegations of France (91), Portugal (95), Mexico (96), and the Czech Republic (97) are established, and the company is recognized with the ICEX Export Prize in 1997.

2000 – CERTIFICATIONS FOR AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY AND NEW PRODUCTION PLANT

With the arrival of the new millennium the expansion of the Bralo Group was even more significant. In the 2001-2004 period, Bralo experienced strong growth above the industry average, thanks to a differential business model and a greater presence in international markets, supported by the creation of new branches.

This decade Bralo opens the delegations of the United Kingdom (2001), Germany (2002), Italy and Turkey (2004), and BRALO obtains the TUV RHEINLAND GROUP VDA 6.1 (2000) and ISO TS 16949 (2003) certifications.

In the month of May 2006 BRALO takes the decision to undertake, in phases, a new project in China. This decision, taken after a deep feasibility study in which other alternatives were included, resulted in the construction of a manufacturing plant in Ningbo.

In 2007 Basilio López receives a recognition from the Txema Elorza Foundation for his human values ​​and his professional career in the world of hardware stores and DIY.

2010 – INTERNATIONAL CONSOLIDATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT

In 2016 BRALO obtains the ISO 14001 certification, thanks to its commitment to the preservation of the environment and sustainable development, making an active management of all its activities both in the use of resources and recycling of materials and in the environmental management of its production processes.

Currently, it is a technological company that applies innovative fixation solutions in the sectors of construction, automotive, renewable energy and household appliances, providing long-term value to its customers from a management characterized by the promotion of innovation, social responsibility, rigor and commitment. With its own production plants on 3 continents, delegations in 10 countries, and customers in more than 60 countries, BRALO has established itself as a reference brand in the fixation industry.
